ELA Academy is no longer an active venture, but it’s being left up in case anyone finds these resources helpful.
ELA Academy was founded and run by Kerri Miller, a former high school English teacher with ten years in the classroom. Inspired by Khan Academy’s method of offering free video tutorials with clear, easy-to-understand teaching, Mrs. Miller decided to provide a similar service in the realm of English language arts. Videos are posted on the ELA Academy YouTube channel and then embedded in blog posts on this website, along with supporting documentation like handouts and worksheets that both teachers and students might find helpful.
Special note to students: Please remember that websites exist to help you learn, not to take the place of your own work. Please avoid plagiarism! It’s bad! Check out this excellent website to learn what plagiarism is and how to avoid it: http://www.plagiarism.org/
